2023 Election Information

Hello members! Elections are coming up. If you’re looking to run, know that you can only run for one position. In order to decide what to run for, you’re welcome to email any officers and inquire about the positions or set up a time to meet with them to discuss any questions you may have.

Once you have decided which position you’d like to run for, start by sending that officer an “Intent to Run” email. All officer emails can be found here. Once again, you are only able to run for one position, so make sure to only send the email once you know you want to run for a specific position. The deadline for intent to run emails has been extended to Sunday, April 16. You must send one in order for you to be considered for a position.

After you send your intent-to-run email, prepare a speech. It should be about 3-5 minutes, with a minimum of 3 mins and a max of 8. Depending on the position, the length of the speech will likely vary, so don’t worry too much. If you want advice on your election speech, feel free to reach out to the officer currently in that position for help.

You will present your speech on election day, April 21st. Members will vote during the meeting, and the new board will be slated at the end.
