About PVS

The University of Central Florida’s Pre-Veterinary Society (PVS) is a pre-professional Registered Student Organization (RSO).  The goal of our society is to unite students who have a passion for veterinary medicine.  Local veterinary professionals from all specialties speak at meetings both to help students learn more about the different fields of veterinary medicine and to offer advice to attending members.

The Pre-Veterinary Society at UCF is open to all students and we welcome members from all majors.

The current version of the Pre-Veterinary Society at UCF’s constitution may be read here.

General Body Meetings

The PVS at UCF connects pre-veterinary students with each other and the veterinary community in order to build connections and gain different experiences. Meetings feature guest speakers to help students learn about the multitude of opportunities present in the veterinary field. We host several group volunteering events throughout the year, and members can participate in applicable wet labs and behind-the-scenes tours of places like SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, The Central Florida Zoo, and Animal Kingdom. Past trips have included the UF College of Veterinary Medicine Open House and the annual APVMA Symposium.
